The construction of the new CBH grain storage facility at Newdegate faced significant programme pressures following unusually high regional rainfall, which delayed site access and pushed the project commencement several months beyond the original schedule. With the grain harvest season rapidly approaching, the facility needed to be operational within a compressed construction window. Delivering a substantial asphalt pavement package under these constraints required rapid mobilisation, increased production capacity and careful coordination between project stakeholders to ensure all programme, quality and operational requirements could still be achieved.
- Delayed site access due to prolonged rainfall across the region
- Compressed construction programme ahead of grain harvest season
- Delivering 10,000 tonnes of asphalt within a shortened timeframe
- Maintaining production efficiency despite delayed project commencement
- Meeting strict quality and specification requirements under accelerated delivery conditions
