SHIRE WYNDHAM EAST KIMBERLEY

Shire Wyndham East Kimberley Road Resealing Program 2026

Two dump trucks and a road roller paving asphalt on a remote highway near dry hills and railway tracks.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

Delivering a large-scale resurfacing program across the East Kimberley required extensive planning, logistics management and coordination across multiple remote locations. The works spanned Wyndham, Kununurra and Lake Argyle, covering more than 73,000m² of road surfacing in environments ranging from urban streets to remote regional roads. The geographical spread of the project created challenges around material supply, binder transport and resource allocation, while varying site conditions required careful management of traffic control, public interaction and safety. Maintaining schedule certainty across multiple work fronts while meeting Main Roads WA specifications was critical to the project’s success.

  • Delivering works across three geographically separated East Kimberley locations
  • Managing the transport and supply of aggregate, binder and equipment to remote areas
  • Working within steep terrain and challenging regional conditions
  • Coordinating traffic management and public interaction during urban street works
  • Maintaining compliance with Main Roads WA specifications across all sites

PROJECT SOLUTION

Roadform successfully delivered a 73,400m² resurfacing program across Wyndham, Kununurra and Lake Argyle, providing improved pavement performance and extending the service life of key regional road assets. Through detailed logistics planning, effective resource management and close coordination between field crews and suppliers, the team maintained productivity across multiple work fronts despite the challenges associated with remote delivery. Traffic management was carefully coordinated to minimise disruption to local communities and road users, while all surfacing works were completed in accordance with Main Roads WA requirements. The program was delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule, demonstrating Roadform’s capability in managing complex regional infrastructure projects.
